On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, Harold I. Stock, Korean War veteran, loving husband and uncle passed away at age 91 in Hardy, Virginia.
Harold was born January 16, 1929, in Marshfield, Oregon to Edda and Frank Stock and raised by Uncle Ray and Aunt Bethel. Harold was predeceased by his parents, his brother and his first wife Hallie.
Harold moved to Alaska in 1962 where he pursued his passion of “sawdust manufacturing.”
He married Lucille Combs on Valentine’s Day, 1993. They enjoyed the next 27 years living and dancing in Delta Junction, Alaska.
Harold will be remembered for his humor, humility and immaculate craftsmanship. His work will be cherished while he can hardly wait to be joined with his Love to live forever, eating beans, potatoes and meatloaf and finally be “finer than frog hair.”
Harold is survived by his wife Lucille (Hardy, Va.), niece Joyce & Pete “Charlie” Russell (Winston, Ore.).
He will be laid to rest in Oregon next to his mother, who passed in 1930 to be forever in her loving arms.
