First rule of Book Club? Everyone should talk about Book Club. The Delta Community Library (DCL) hosts a Book Club that meets once a month to discuss that month’s selection. Members take turns bringing a variety of snacks to the meeting as they gather in the library around the fireplace. November’s book is Where the Forest Meets the Stars by Glendy Vanderah.

Book Club has met monthly since January 2008 and welcomes anyone who enjoys reading and a good discussion about the book of the month. The group meets at 7 p.m. every third Monday of the month at the community Library. There is no cost to join the group or participate in discussion.

Books selected for January through March are; The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michelle Richardson, I Married the Klondike by Laura Beatrice Berton, and The Outer Banks House by Diann Ducharme. Titles are selected by the group in advance, so check out these titles – available at the library – and make plans to swing by and discuss what you read. Check out their Facebook page, Junction Readers, for updates on meetings and titles.

The DCL will host a Gingerbread House Family Activity as the next in their Wiser @ the Library series on November 30 at 5 p.m., right after the lighting of the Sullivan Roadhouse. All goodies to decorate will be provided, although bringing some to share or donate is always appreciated. This is another free event for the Delta/Greely community provided by the Delta Community Library. Space is limited, so call or stop by the library to sign up.
