Delta Junction girls, ages 5-18, are invited to check out the area’s newest faith-based, scout-type leadership development program for girls, American Heritage Girls (AHG).
Led by local women, AHG meets the second and fourth Mondays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Delta Elementary School. Delta Troop AK4206 is chartered by First Baptist Church.
The AHG program is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country. AHG girls across the nation and the globe participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on Christian values and family involvement.
At their first troop meeting, held Monday, girls worked together to learn the AHG Oath, AHG Creed, and how to correctly handle and fold the American flag.
Learn more about AHG by calling Sarah Richardson at 907-312-3797, emailing Delta Troop AK4206 at delta ak4206@outlook.com, or by visiting www.americanheri tagegirls.org.
