According to Alaska State Troopers, 23-year-old Tatyana Ionashku was located early this morning and is with family. Ionasku was reported missing on July 1, and was not located following a search of the area where she was last seen.

There have been numerous reports of smoke around town. Forestry has said it is a pocket of smoke from a controlled burn and should dissipate shortly. No cause for alarm. They are patrolling the area to assure that the smoke isn't coming from a different source.

Sidney Randolph Huntington has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a Healy Lake woman Monday night.

Road conditions Wednesday morning were better than anticipated in and around Delta Junction, but reports to the north and south were not as good. Fairbanks schools delayed the start of school for two hours, and Fairbanks Police report traffic signals out at several intersections around the city.

Rain is beginning to fall around Fort Greely and Delta Junction. As of 5:45 p.m., rain was reported throughout most of the area. South of Delta Junction rain was reported as heavy in some areas.

Firefighters received the call for a structure fire Wednesday afternoon at a home on Tanana Loop in the Big D area. Initial information given to responders was that heavy smoke was coming from the structure.

Local fire departments were dispatched to a mobile home fire on the Richardson Highway Saturday morning which destroyed the structure. First arriving units arrived to find a structure engulfed in fire.
