Our local Troopers have been busy, unfortunately, trying to solve some pretty serious criminal activity in our community. I’d like to thank them for their efforts and hope they are successful in putting together a case that will stand up to the rigors of our court system.

I’ve have had the opportunity to speak to several of the Troopers during their investigations, and one common theme has come out during the discussions – people in this community have a lot of information they have heard from someone and are willing to share it with others.

In other words, we have a rumor mill.

Rumors start and get spread – usually they get expanded. They become like an old fish story, getting larger with time.

The problem is, the person with firsthand knowledge of information isn’t willing to talk to the Troopers; as a result, the information is basically useless.

If you have any information concerning crimes that take place in our community, you should contact the Troopers directly and immediately. If you don’t, you are part of the problem.

It’s time to stand up for our community.
