The DHS Hockey team has had some exciting games following winter break. The high school team traveled to Fairbanks on January 7 to face off against Tri-Valley. The previous conference game against Tri-Valley was met with defeat, but the Huskies were hungry for a win this time.
Taking to the ice, the DHS hockey players took charge. Jordan Bouziden defended the net with precision, not allowing a single puck to travel in. The Huskies won the conference game in a shutout with a final score of 2-0.
Another upset took place when the Delta Huskies skated against the Monroe rams on January 10. Their previous game resulted in a 10-4 loss. Swift on their feet, passing priority, and defensive strength, led the huskies to another win. The Huskies defeated the Monroe Rams in a final score of 5-3.
The Husky hockey team was in Kodiak this weekend. Game results are not available as of the publication of this article.
Upcoming home games have been moved to Fairbanks due to ice conditions in Delta.
